Hello, Client is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a 6 + month contract opportunity in Dublin, OH. This position requires a strong background in inventory management systems.
Title: Business Systems Analyst Location: Dublin, OH Length: 6 + months Requirements: * 3 - 5 years of telecom industry experience. * 3 - 5 years of recent BA/BSA experience. * Proven experience working with gathering business requirements and translating to system requirements. Must have experience with Use Cases - writing use cases, building sequence diagrams, swim lane diagrams, understanding UML notation, etc. * Understand basic SQL to query databases to obtain information. * Strong background in Inventory Systems, ideally Cramer. Experience can also come from other systems such as Telcordia, MetaSolv's TBS, NetCracker, Granite, Incatel, Viziqor, Axiom, Syndesis, etc. * Previous experience in an Agile or iterative environment. * Strong networking experience is highly desired. * Application domain knowledge in Telecom & data networks is required to have credibility with user representatives and be able to work effectively with them. • Strong understanding of Transport & wavelength technologies like SONET, DWDM, RPR etc. • Strong understanding of packet network technologies such as Ethernet, ATM, frame, IP, xVOIP. • Strong understanding of telecom services like DSL, VPN(L2, L3), private line transport. • Good understanding of routing protocols like BGP, MPLS etc. • Strong fundamentals with the ability to understand industry directions towards convergence and how it applies to application development. • Understanding of concepts defines by bodies such as ITU & TMF * Strong knowledge of Ethernet - Ethernet concepts, types of mediums, types of connectors, Layer 2 quality of service (OSI model), VLAN and VTP domains, etc. * Ability to recommend design around the implementation of inventory systems. * Previous use of requirement management tools - RequisitePro or Caliber ideally. * Good communication - both written and verbal. * Strong documentation skills. ***Candidates MUST be able to pass a background screen.
