Title: *Sr. SAP ABAP Consultant*
*Location:* Palo Alto, CA
*Length:* 6 months

*Role/ Purpose: *
*Designs, develops, implements and maintains high-quality software programs
for software enhancements and new products.
*Writes original software code and works with cross-functional application
development team to create systems and applications.
*Principal Duties and Responsibilities: *
* Perform development assignments as defined to meet business objectives
* Participate in project preparation activities including detailed project
plans, time estimates & schedules
* Participate in needs analysis, design reviews and provide detailed design
specifications based on requirements gathered through the business
requirements and solution design phases
* New development, enhancement and defect resolution of the SAP system
* Design and development of interfaces to third party systems and data
warehouse as required
* Plan and conduct thorough program testing (unit, integration)
* Coordinate/support QA and user acceptance testing and approval processes

*Requirements: *
* 8+ years in IT software development
* 5-7+ years of experience with SAP R/3 - ABAP/4 in releases 4.5, 4.6, 4.7,
5.0 & ECC
* Strong ABAP Skills including but not limited to Reporting, Data
Dictionary, Screen Painter, Menu Painter, applying user exits, ABAP query &
report writer tools
* Strong experience in SAP Scripts / Smart Forms
* Strong knowledge and experience in Object Oriented ABAP using ALV grids,
tree controls, event handling, split containers and implementing class
interfaces.
* Practical knowledge and experience in functional areas: SD, FI/CO
* Experienced in SAP's Netweaver platform, including SAP Business Warehouse
(BW) and SAP Solution Manager (SM)
* Ability to articulate change implications for any process or system
solution to any level in the business organization (from user to senior
management)
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
* Ability to manage an entire training program for groups of business users
* Strong customer service, communication, organizational and leadership
skills
* Maturity and ability to work independently in a dynamic project
environment with aggressive deadlines
