Position: Systems Architect (1 Position) Location: New jersey Duration: 6 months to 1+ Yrs. Very likely to extend. Interview Process: Phone + Inperson - Candidates should be willing to come for inperson after phone round. Duties and Responsibilities: The day to day responsibilities are going to be to review current architecture, make recommendations for improvements, responsible for gathering technical requirements, the design, build, test, and drive project to closure. This person will be a high energy , motivated person who is accountable and responsible for the full life cycle implementation of projects assigned. Someone who communicates extremely well, and can communicate his point across with confidence and ease. Must have strong architecture skills, knowledge of JCAPS, ESB/Middleware - Enterprise and Network Service Bus and related improvements, Java, Internet Protocols, and End to End project responsibility. This person will also drive new business to the group by selling the idea of replicating the same architecture to other groups within Verizon, as well as manage data from the vendor management group and recommend process improvements. Alternate skills they will consider in place of JCAPS are MQ Series, Weblogic, and Alpha Logic. Someone with Mobile device or mobile environment experience is a big plus.
