DWBI - SSAS - Sr.Developer (1 Position) - ON PRIORITY

Brief Job Outline

 *   The candidate should have strong experience in SSAS and good experience in 
SQL Server & SSRS.
 *   The candidate should able to translate req. into technical specification 
for SSAS cubes. Should have experience in SSAS Cube design & developments.
 *   Development of reports using tools such as SSRS and Performance Point.
 *   Experience in Optimizing cube for performance.
 *   Knowledge in best practices and standards are followed in cube design, 
development and deployment.
 *   The candidate should have BI life cycle development experience.

Key Result Areas


 *   Experience in designing cube dimensions and measures that meet complex 
business needs
 *   Good experience in advanced SSAS concepts including designing bridge 
tables, handling multiple fact tables in a cube, ragged hierarchies, partitions 
and security options
 *   Experience with designing cubes that need to handle large volumes of data
 *   Solid experience in MDX
 *   Experience with performance tuning in SSAS 2008
 *   Experience in developing SSRS reports
 *   Experience with SharePoint BI capabilities especially Performance Point 
would be a big plus
 *   Good SQL Server development experience (stored procedures, views, user 
defined functions)
 *   Good working knowledge of Iterative and/or Agile development methodologies



DWBI - Architect - 1 Position - ON PRIORITY

Job Description
Looking for a seasoned Business Intelligence Architect on a contract basis with 
excellent dimensional modeling skills and broad experience in all facets of BI 
to provide technical leadership for a Data Warehousing Initiative using 
Microsoft technologies.

The BI architect will work with business stakeholders / functional analyst to 
understand the business information requirements, and translate that into 
logical and physical relational dimensional data models. She/he will provide 
technical leadership in designing and developing the appropriate Cubes built 
using the relational data mart that will provide the foundation for data access 
to consumers including reporting tools and analytical applications. The 
candidate will also provide architecture and design guidance to Data 
Integration developers to ensure that all ETL is developed according to best 
practices.


Essential Skills

Candidates should be highly competent in designing extensible Dimensional 
models that meet business needs and are optimized for performance and 
manageability. Candidates should have extensive experience with the Kimball 
methodology of building data marts. Should have life cycle experience in at 
least a couple of BI projects. Candidates should have good exposure to ETL, 
MOLAP architectures (preferably Cubes in SSAS), and reporting & analytics 
tools. Prefer candidates who have prior experience with end to end technical 
management of BI projects.

Prefer candidates with a strong background in the Microsoft BI stack covering 
SQL Server 2008, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS and dashboard technologies such as 
Performance Point. Candidates with relevant experience in similar non-Microsoft 
BI technologies would also be considered.

Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and show a solid 
understanding of business needs on the projects that they have worked on.

 *   The candidate should able to convert business requirements into technical 
specification.
 *   The candidate should possess excellent communication skill.
 *   Experience with SSAS is added advantage.


Key Result Areas

 *   6+ years MS SQL Server development experience required (stored procedures, 
triggers, views, indexing)
 *   5+ years of MS SQL Server Integration Services experience required. Solid 
understanding of complex ETL concepts and methodologies
 *   Good experience at query tuning and optimizing database code
 *   Good understanding of dimensional database design
 *   Experience with SSAS will be a plus
 *   Some working knowledge.NET development will be a plus
 *   Good working knowledge of Iterative and/or Agile development methodologies
