The Developer’s role is to write, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle. The Developer will also analyze and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide status reports where required. *Environment:* PeopleSoft Financials 9.0 •Tools 8.50 •Modules oAccounts Payable oeProcurement oPO oAsset Management oGeneral Ledger oProject Costing – CapEx oAccounts Receivable oBilling oContracts oInventory oProject Costing - Profitability * * *Responsibilities:* •Assist analysts and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications. •Assist in the preparation and documentation of program requirements and specifications. •Research and document requirements of program users. •Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts. •Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications and development standards. •Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas. •Develop approved customizations •Evaluate and recommend solutions needed to implement specific needs. •Update functional and technical documentation as necessary •Work closely with the Business System Analysts, Administrators, DBAs and Unix System Administrator to deploy the PeopleSoft enterprise systems * * *Position Requirements :* •College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or software engineering •PeopleSoft development experience with the Financial applications in 8.8+ environments •Understanding of PIA setup, server configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance tuning •Experience with PeopleTools 8.48 or higher. •Familiarity with Integration Broker, SQL, Application Designer, Application Engine and PeopleCode •Familiarity with 3rd party software (Crystal, nVision, Tuxedo, SQR) •Experience performing PeopleSoft project migrations through the Development Life Cycle •Good at performing analysis and delivering successful results •Thorough understanding of platforms such as Unix OS and Oracle DB. •Hands-on software troubleshooting experience. •Experience and understanding of business processes and how they are carried out in the systems •Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies. •Strong written and oral communication skills. •Strong interpersonal skills. •Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products. •Technically proficient. •Highly self motivated and directed. •Keen attention to detail. •Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
