The position will sit in Norfolk, VA. Contractor – BI Development *Education: *4-year College Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering *Required Skills: * · Strong SQL with complex queries · Strong analytical and problem solving skills · In-depth experience with Siebel Analytics / OBIEE+ including development and training · Data model construction · Teradata, DB2, Oracle, and/or SQL Server · Experience in Report and Dashboard design · Experience with UNIX operating system · Involvement in all aspects of SDLC and accustom to working with technical documents (flowcharts, programming specifications, etc.) · Experienced in testing phases – unit, system, and integration · Good verbal and written communication skills · MS Office applications *Preferred: * · Experience with other BI development tools – Brio, Interactive Reporting · Knowledge of data modeling techniques, ERWIN, entity relationship diagrams and Data Architecture · Familiarity with configuring ODBC connections · Data Warehouse Design Experience · Experience of Unix Scripts · Experience creating/supporting stored procedures · Knowledge of MDX and experience with Cube Design · Experience with Visio Analyst Attitude Profile: · Self-starter, responsible · Strong team ethic and customer-support focus · Ability to contribute knowledge by sharing and training technology skills to peers · A ‘finisher’, seeing a project or task through to completion in spite of challenges · Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills *Initial Project Assignment / Responsibilities:* Assist in implementation of OBIEE+ application solutions for Intermodal Department with primary residence in Norfolk, VA, and some limited travel primarily to Atlanta.
