Job Title: Openview Administrator/ System Administrator
Work Location: US-Cincinnati # Positions: 1 Duration 3-6 months, Contract to Hire Overview: - Architect, assemble and maintain the lifecycle of Client event monitoring environment. (30%) - Responsible for evaluation and integration of application/infrastructure monitoring tools (Openview, Netuitive (SI and SA), “Application Monitoring”, etc.) into Client existing and future problem management processes (how to best leverage these tools). (25%) - Provide specific monitoring solutions/integrations to individual support teams rendered from the event monitoring environment. (20%) - Design and implement automation tools and scripts to reduce manual tasks and increase automatic service restores. (10%) - Cross train support personnel in the proper utilization of the event monitoring software and lifecycle. (5%) - Perform policy/template administration of the event monitoring products/tool sets. (5%) - Play a lead role in department projects and initiatives. (5%) Responsibilities: Advanced knowledge of HP Openview for Operations necessary. - Excellent Understanding of Client-Server related technology. - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Keep others informed of relevant information on a timely basis. - Excellent time and project management skills required. - Uses interpersonal skills to coach, train, and influence team members. Qualifications: 3-5 years experience administrating HP Openview. - 1-2 years experience administrating HP SiteScope. - 6+ years experience in client/server maintenance environment. - 5+ years experience in a support role. - Prior experience working with and managing vendor relationships - Advanced certifications and/or equivalent training in event monitoring life cycles/products preferred (ex. HP Openview, ITIL, MCSE, etc.).
