Role:Sr..NET developer (WCF) Location: Seattle, WA Length: 2 months + ( With strong potential for extension) Technical Environment: C#, ASP.NET, WCF (SOAP, REST), .NET 3.5 or 4.0, SQL Responsibilities * Initially, the developer will assist with creating REST services with WCF to wrap our existing SOAP services to support our mobile applications and some updates to the existing location service. * There will be a large focus on performance and some new work around security. * The developer should have excellent communication skills, debugging skills, and some experience working in an agile / scrum environment. .NET * .NET Framework & ASP.NET with C# * Experience with 3.5 required, experience with 4.0 is ideal. WCF * Experience with 3.5 required, experience with 4.0 is ideal. * Understanding of WCF framework, security, debugging, and extensibility points. * Experience building & consuming SOAP services with WCF * Experience building REST services with WCF exposing XML & JSON Azure * While it is not required, the ideal candidate would have at least some familiarity with the Azure platform including features such as AppFabric Access Control, SQL Azure, Storage, Compute. SQL * SQL Server 2008; Creating tables, writing stored procedures, and debugging. * Spatial data experience and performance tuning are ideal but not required. Other Technical * Visual Studio 2010, preferably with TFS experience. * Experience writing Unit tests and / or Web Tests for integration testing.
