Must profile data to ensure understanding of data before completing design, then create the database tables, then create load specs for ETL developers to load the reporting/datamart tables just designed. Must be proficient at writing SQL for both data profiling as well as prototyping ETL transformations and join logic, and finally must validate newly designed reporting/datamart data loads after ETL is written. Overall responsible for design, creation, validation of reporting/datamart solutions.
