Location: Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 6 months+ Rate: Market CANDIDATE MUST BE LOCAL TO BAY AREA CA. We are seeking a new member to help design and develop our next generation quantitative analytics software, using leading-edge Java technologies. We are looking to expand across additional asset classes as well as expanding the depth of our analytics. The job requires a strong technical background and rudimentary understanding of the financial marketplace. Required and Desired Skills: - 8+ years hands-on Java design and development experience (JBoss, Apache, Spring, JDBC) - 5+ years database experience (SQL, DDL/DML, stored procedures, data modeling). Sybase ASE 15, Sybase IQ, MySQL experience preferred. - 5+ years UNIX experience (ksh, bash, shell scripts). - Experience with data integration, process integration, ETL. - Experience with Test Driven Development (JUnit, EasyMock). - Experience with Java Swing preferred - Prior industry knowledge of Securities Finance or Securities Lending operations is a plus. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
