Acts as a lead in the creation, preparation, and conduct of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts. Works with client to establish and maintain a consistent test methodology and to resolve questions during the testing process. May serve as a coordinator for all testing activities on a project. Analyzes, tests, and certifies application-specific software and performs ambiguity reviews of business requirements and functional specification documents. Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems. Researches new products and industry methodologies and facilitates the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Plans and directs quality assurance schedules and assignments, and monitors project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Logs, tracks, and verifies resolution of software and specification defects. Documents all phases of QA process. Directs and serves as a mentor to less experienced staff. *Responsibilities include:* o Create detailed test plans and scripts bases on analysis of requirements and design documents. o Execute systems and data quality testing to ensure all development deliverables are production ready. o Prior Data Warehouse / ETL testing experience. o Write test case scripts and execute; document detailed results and summary report. o In collaboration with other team members, analyze raw data to ensure the data will meet the business need. o Strong SQL scripting experience for data creation, validation and testing the transformation rules. o Strong experience in testing table joins, views and materialized views. o Uses advanced knowledge of applications to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and resolving highly complex test problems. o ETL Testers will be working within a team environment to plan, develop and execute formal test plans for a very large and complex Data warehousing environment. o Understanding the highly complex Data warehouse system which requires a good level of technical comprehension in SQL or TERADATA coding. o Monitor and resolve testing issues. o Manage testing tasks concurrently on multiple projects. o Work with the business owner to identify key data elements that will be monitored on an on-going basis to ensure a high level of data quality within the EIS. o May coordinate the overall execution of the test plan with TOG and business representatives. o May research production issues. o May act as technical resource to other testers. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Required:* * * o 5+ years of data-warehousing experience ('data driven' application testing does not fill requirement). o 5+ years of experience in writing and executing test cases for a database solution. o 5+ year's Hands-on experience with the SQL, UNIX, ETL Tools and defect tracking systems. o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent education/work experience. o Experience in creating test plans, cases and scripts without the use of testing case tools. o Experience in writing advanced SQL / UNIX and executing test scripts. o Experience in business analysis techniques. o Experience in data analysis. o Performed backend validation testing. o Thorough understanding and experience in testing interfaces via batch processes with other applications. o Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. o Demonstrated problem analysis and problem solving skills in a technical environment. o Knowledge of PC application software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, etc. o Ability to interface with all levels and across organizational lines. o Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines. *Preferred:* o Experience in data testing (strongly preferred). o Knowledge of financial services industry. *Platform and Skill Set Expertise:* QA Testing : Test Case Development, QA Testing : QA Testing, Client Server Development : SQL, Database Development : Data Warehouse Development, Analysis Skills : Business Analysis -- Many Thanks.
