Minimum Requirements: * Qualifications:* 5+ years experience developing Oracle BRM (formerly Portal Billing) software required, including, but not limited to: Configuration management Data import/migration Customizing Crystal Report templates Policy customizations Real-time rating Payment Data import/migration/conversion Working knowledge of BRM desktop applications Creating custom data manager Build automation Patch management Experience on financial/billing system development and support Experience on data migration and conversion projects, particularly customer account, billing, and order data which includes financial components that must remain in balance when converting from one system to another 5+ years experience in one or more major databases (Oracle, SQL Server) Proven ability to work in a UNIX or Linux environment including scripting languages, perl required. Experience with CVS, SVN or SourceSafe. Experience in producing high-level and detail-level design specifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills A BS or MS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience *Desired Skills:* 3+ years of experience in developing solutions using Java platform Experience building SOA solutions using web services, SOAP, REST services Working knowledge of JBOSS Application Server, APACHE Webserver 5+ years experience in Java/J2EE, MVC, JSP, XML, SQL, Eclipse Experience using automated build/deployment tools such as Maven 2 and Ant. Experience automating unit tests using tools like JUnit and/or HttpUnit. Large distributed enterprise system design knowledge desired Description: Application Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Billing system that is built upon Oracle BRM software and Java services. Working under minimal supervision and taking direction from the BRM architect, the developer will produce high-level and detail-level designs for and implement BRM data and code customizations, configuration and external system integrations to deliver the change necessary to expand upon newly launched tools and software for consumer web commerce. Initiatives are underway for expansions to provide more capabilities for corporate, and global stakeholders. The primary components include subscription billing and revenue management, payment processing, tax determination and interface to the downstream financial ledger applications. Consumer products within the catalog will expand to include digital and print subscriptions and potentially other product types. Technical expertise in Oracle BRM software and strong understanding of financial transaction processing is required. *The successful candidate will be responsible for:* Designing, implementing and supporting the full BRM implementation. Participating in designing and building the application development and maintenance environment for the billing system, including BRM and encapsulating interfaces. Participating in the analysis and evolution of the corporate application portfolio - in this case, the billing as it fits with the rest of the applications - to meet business systems processing needs. Converting and migrating customers and billing data from other systems into the new billing system.
