Please send me your profiles to [email protected] QA Manager 12 months Minneapolis, MN Description: The QA Manager is responsible for leading the QA group in support of the software development life cycle process, change management, Testing / QA environments and production releases. The QA Manager will be accountable for QA practices, testing procedures, meeting IT deadlines and maintaining quality standards firm-wide, including both on-shore and off-shore QA activities. Responsibilities/Duties: Manage teams of QA professionals supporting internal development teams. The QA group consists of a combination of on-shore and off-shore staff. Represent the QA department to senior management and champion QA best practices. Establish quality standards, procedures and QA methodology's. Interface closely with development and operational groups in support of software and production releases. Manage and oversee QA and Integration Testing Environments. Manage QA tools, like Quality Center . Oversee QA activity such as test plan creation, test execution, defect management, test automation management, etc. Develop and manage the QA resources both onshore and offshore. Measure productivity and performance using key performance indicators and other metrics. Create and define resource plans for QC projects and applications. Competencies: 10 years Software Quality Assurance experience, including 5 years managing a QA team. Experience creating test cases, building automation frameworks, and stress testing. Formal software development life-cycle experience required; experience working in an Agile environment. Banking or financial knowledge is required. Knowledge of CMM/CMMI or other process improvement methodology's a plus. Experience in data warehouse testing is a plus Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Excellent technical written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize individual and team tasks and projects so that deadlines are met.
