Position:C++ with market access
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 6+ months

Client is looking or a Market Access C++ Developer to design and develop
Market Access Systems applications, to provide low latency and highly
reliable market interfaces (order entry and data feeds) to proprietary
trading desks.

Understand business requirements of new projects by working with traders and
trading support teams.

Design and implement software components based on business requirements.
 Work closely with other internal IT teams to ensure maximum performance of
network circuits and market access servers. For Exchange interfaces,
communicate with market access providers to fully understand the protocols
and order-entry/data feed processing details.
Test to ensure system stability, recoverability, and lowest latency access
to market data.
Deliver implemented systems into production.  Train first-level support
staff in the operation of the systems. Develop technical and support
documentation for the systems.
Communicate progress and problems to management, estimating work schedules
and anticipating and avoiding problems.

Must have at least a B.S., preferably in Computer Science.
Must have at least 5 years experience in software development.
Must be proficient in C++ and Unix/Linux.
Must have at least 3 years experience building order-entry and/or market
data systems
Must have experience working in low latency, high frequency trading
environment
Must have excellent communication skills and analytical ability.
Experience with US Exchange protocols/APIs desirable
Experience with performance analysis and code-optimization is desirable
Experience writing Python, PERL and Unix scripts a plus.
