Please do let me know if you are comfortable and available and reply me back with a copy of latest resume. *Title: QA Test Analyst* *Client: Dell* *Location: Westport, CT* *Duration: 12 Months* *Positions: 3* *Description/Comment:* • Get involved in the development lifecycle right from the beginning and start interacting with the users to understand the requirements • Come up with the testing strategy using the test plan and then work with the developer to understand the design of the application changes and create the test cases • Complete the testing and follow up with the developer to close all the defects found and certify the application for production move • Create the defect analysis report where he should suggest the improvement opportunities. It is important to use the tools like Quality Center, defect management tool and configuration management tool to follow the process and maintain the testing inventory • Perform low level testing, create test stub/ harness, and use other techniques like boundary value analysis & instrumentation and perform system integration testing for which he/she MUST be proficient in C# coding and should be familiar with NUnit tool. *Mandatory skills:* o *C#,* *SQL* *Server*, *NUnit*, *Quality* *Center*, *QTP* o Competency in *C#* (must be able to rework the code for NUnit, not just work in a C# Environment) o Build management tool (experience in TeamCity is highly desirable), Configuration Management tool (experience in SVN is highly desirable) Deployment Tool (experience in SRM is highly desirable) Good knowledge and experience in a standard bug tracking tools, Microsoft Office products (Strong skill in Excel is highly desirable) including Visio. Experience in *Mingle* is highly desirable o Capable of understanding *UML* *diagrams* like *Use* *Case*, *Class* * diagrams* etc. o RUP/ UML experience required o *SQL* *Server*, *SQL* *Scripting* o Competent working in .Net, *LDAP*, web services *Methodology: * o Worked in Level 3 support which is driven by fast development/ testing to meet the client's need in a rapid development environment. o Experience in Agile development methodology is highly desirable. *Testing Knowledge and Experience: * o Must have performed functional and non-functional testing in past and should be hands-on. o Capable of creating Test Plan, Test Cases and Test Results. Has experience in running the test in manual process, produced test results and reports, performed defect analysis using QC tools. o Performed System Testing, User Acceptance testing, Pre-production testing, Performance testing (mainly load/ volume testing), scalability testing, Compatibility testing, Security testing, usability testing, Fail over/ recovery testing, production deployment testing. Has a strong knowledge and experience in preparing data for testing in a situation where client has to maintain data confidentiality. Experienced in building and maintaining test environment. *Personal skills: * o Strong communication skill. Adaptable to a new environment. QA/ QC Mindset. Very creative, can think of workarounds when faced with road blocks. o Very good in thinking in reverse direction. Capable of identifying problems and solving them. *Desirable Skills:* • TeamCity, SVN, SRM, FogBugz, Strong skill in Excel.
