The new software must provide the agency with a reliable, scalable architecture that permits users to access the system via the SSA Intranet. In addition, the software should provide the ability to leverage current agency technologies and be capable of adding functionality using standard development tools (e.g. HTML, Java, and JavaScript). There are two major efforts: 1) Refactoring and development of a system architecture to prepare for Production rollout; and, 2) Conversion of existing forms to HTML-based forms used in the new application.
