Client will perform a background check after an offer is made. * The client will take strong developer who really know their stuff *Job Description: * Web Developer (WD) supporting a Federal agency that is in the process of migrating from the existing Adobe architecture to a system that is web-based. The new software must provide the agency with a reliable, scalable architecture that permits users to access the system via our client's Intranet. In addition, the software should provide the ability to leverage current agency technologies and be capable of adding functionality using standard development tools (e.g. HTML, Java, and JavaScript). There are two major efforts: 1)Refactoring and development of a system architecture to prepare for Production rollout; and, 2)Conversion of existing forms to HTML-based forms used in the new application. The WD interacts with the customer and reviews requirements documentation, and interacts with the customer to glean and assess requirements. Subsequently, applies required skills to develop and unit test web-based code. The WD develops weekly status reports to report accomplishments. *REQUIREMENTS* Skills Requirements: Project Management skills. Experience designing and implementing enterprise architectures. Java, J2EE, SOA, XML, Object Oriented Analysis, JMS, DB2, SQL, JDBC, JavaScript, CSS, MKS, HTML, SSL, Web Services, SOAP, SMAL, WS-Security, Web Sphere, and RAD. Desired Qualifications: -Knowledge and understanding of mainframe-based development and testing. -Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to prepare reports, briefings, and demonstrations. -Strong working knowledge of Windows and Office (Word and Excel). -Working knowledge of CMM (Capability Maturity Model) or CMMI (CMM Integrated). Education and Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field ****NOTE new labor category and number of years experience required.**** Labor Category Required: (must have a BS degree in Computer Science or related degree with at least Ten years of experience, MS degree in Computer Science or a related degree). Duration: At least 12 months with automatic extensions. ***This is the first year of a seven year contract.*** NOTE: CANDIDATES will be required to go through a background check for a Public Trust clearance. This means candidates should have NO misdemeanors, felonies, excessive traffic tickets or credit issues in their background. ****Prefer U.S. Citizens or Green cardholders.
