Job Title: IMS Resources Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 4-6+ Months ** *Job Description:* Utilize Flexera AdminStudio to repackage or test application installations in Windows Installer (MSI, MST) or App-V format in accordance with the set operating environment standards. Utilize Microsoft SCCM to create deployment packages in accordance to the set Operating environment standards. Utilize a database application to document application installations as well as report application information and status. Work with customers and application deployment partners to create solutions. Perform manual installations as required. Provide 3rd level support as required. *Requirements:* 7+ Experience with Windows XP Professional or later Operating System. 5+ Experience with Microsoft Installer (.msi) packages and standards 5+ Experience with VMWare Workstation (or equivalent product) 5+ Experience with systems management solutions such as but not limited to Microsoft SMS and SCCM. 5+ Years Experience with Flexera AdminStudio (or equivalent product such as Wise Package Studio) 2 to 3 Years experience in Application Compatibility Testing on Windows Vista / Windows 7 Ability to troubleshoot using tools such as Orca, SetCal, Filemon and Regmon Understanding of Active Directory Group Policies *Ability:* Understand MSI patches and transforms Understand MSI merge modules, macros and custom actions Run validation checking Understand security modifications within MSI packages Detect and understand conflicts in MSI packages Detect and understand ICE errors Troubleshoot MSI applications Must be able to provide 3rd level support for the installation and the application Good analytical and troubleshooting skills Understanding of TCP/IP networks Understanding of Client Server applications Ability to provide support for distributed applications Good customer service skills Ability to work within a team and possesses team building skills.
