*BUSINESS ANALYST with * *ecommerce* *Oakland, CA* *12 MONTHS* *Job Qualifications* The Business Analyst role drives and support all aspect of data analysis and modeling initiatives and will utilize problem solving, data mining, and analysis skills to develop key strategic quantitative analysis across various component of business for Ask.com. This position is for analytical quick-learners who enjoy the challenge of working across a variety of lines of business problems simultaneously. Analytic projects generally cover a wide range of business problems providing support for different marketing initiatives, including monitoring performance of various campaigns, performing ad-hoc analyses to explore opportunities, deliver critical analysis and support to optimize various campaigns. The analysis requires working with complex in nature, and large volumes of data as well as using advanced data extraction, data manipulation and analytics skills. This role also plays a pivotal role in delivering new business insights through execution of end-to-end analytic projects. *Roles and responsibilities* - Evaluate large and complex data sets, and apply advanced quantitative approaches in hypothesis evaluation. - Develop frameworks, analysis approach and processes that operationalize key insights. - Become expert in leveraging the full breadth of Ask.com data sources and analytic resources and be able to solve difficult, non-routine problems. - Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving. *REQUIRED SKILLS : * - 2+ years of experience in managing highly quantitative analytic projects, ideally at an ecommerce, internet marketing or advertising company. - 2+ years experience utilizing various statistical techniques and data analysis skills - 2+ years experience in SQL and understanding of web analytics data - 2+ years experience in R, SAS, or other statistical packages - Knowledge of HDFS, Perl, Map Reduce, Pig and cloud computing is a plus *Thanks & Regards....**?** **Astir IT Solutions* *___________________** **K.
