Position: Microsoft ASP.Net VB.Net Consultant Location: Cheyenne, WY Duration: 6 months Description : 5+ years’ experience in developing complex, small business applications. Strong skill set in Microsoft development platforms, including solid skills in VB.Net, C#, XML/XSLT, ASP.Net, and MS-SQL development work. Expert knowledge in building data-driven web applications utilizing Microsoft best practices. Previous experience working on customer-facing web applications with a strong focus on gathering and analyzing end-user requirements and building user-friendly interfaces. Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative business environment. Superior communication skills Resource Responsibilities: Design the Mines Inspector Office’s Mining Exam application on the .Net platform using industries best standards and practices. Work closely with the existing Workers’ Compensation (WC) IT staff, ensuring that there is knowledge transfer so the WC IT team can maintain the application in the future. Weekly code reviews with the pertinent WC IT staff is mandatory, and can be conducted remotely, at the discretion of the WC IT staff. Work closely with the Mines Inspector’s Office staff, gathering all the application requirements and functionality to meet their specific needs for this application. Obtain WC IT staff approval for all application releases and documentation on the application. Wyoming’s approval of this application cannot occur until the application successfully passes User Acceptance Testing and the support documents have been reviewed and accepted by the WC IT support staff. Final approval is at the discretion of the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) Standards and Compliance IT Administrator.
