Required:
* 5+ years of experience designing and building applications with
object-oriented software development methodologies and practices using Java
and related technologies.
* Strong experience with a reasonable subset of the following:
* Core Java (1.5+): Multi threading, concurrency, annotations,
collections, etc.
* Hibernate, Spring, Ant, Maven, Eclipse, Tomcat.
* J2EE, and related technologies including JMS, JSP, JSF.
* Relational databases and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, HSQL).
* XML technologies including DTD/XSD, XPATH, Object XML mapping.
* TDD: Unit testing (JUnit / Mock), Continuous Integration,
Agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of & experience working with common design patterns and industry
standards.
* Strong communication, analysis and problem solving skills.
* Quick to learn, self-motivated and enthusiastic.
* Work well within a team environment, with minimal supervision.
* Be comfortable working with clearly defined project plans and be
comfortable contributing their estimates to the planning process. Able to
meet and deliver on deadlines and able to work well under pressure.
Preferred:
* Experience with Python
* Experience with processing MarkitWire/SwapsWire (FpML, SWML).
* Finance (Rates, Equities, etc) experience preferred, but not required.
* Unix command line and basic scripting
* Experience with version control systems, preferably Perforce.
* Versed in different development methodologies e.g. Iterative, Agile. Scrum
etc.
* Experience working in global teams
