This position would require the following:** * * *Job Description* *1. **Technical Abilities/Experience* - A degree (BS or higher) in Mathematics, Computer Eng, Computer Science, or equivalent is required. - Test experience with commercial software o Experience testing tablet or smartphone applications on iOS or Android platforms is strongly desired. o Experience with testing Windows, Mac or web applications on various Windows and Mac platforms is desired. - Must be meticulous in nature. Focus oriented skills are necessary. The candidate’s experience background should suggest this. - Experience with the development of test processes, writing/maintaining test suites, assisting with test planning and test case design (including both black-box and white-box test methodologies) is required. · Desired, but not required, experience in the design and implementation of test tools and automated test suites. Programming experience in C/C++, Java, Python or Perl scripting, testing of Application Programming Interfaces. - Desired, but not required, experience in working with external vendors/teams. * * *2. **Primary Responsibilities* · Define test strategies, approaches and plans for a product/project. · Effectively execute the testing strategy defined for the project/product, including creation and execution of test cases defined in the test strategy. · Provide periodic status reports on progress in assigned test areas. · Effectively communicate issues that are discovered while testing. This includes, but is not limited to, investigating and clearly documenting issues in a defect tracking database. · Be able to effectively work with 3rd party partners and test vendors in a multi-location environment. · Review technical documents, including requirement specifications, architecture documents, design documents and user documentation. - Assess, from a test standpoint, the potential impact of requests for changes to the design or scope of the software under test. - Use appropriate tools, including automated test execution tools, code coverage tools, and test result evaluation tools to aid the test effort. · Follow project schedule and complete assignments on time. Produce appropriate deliverables for each assignment. · Quickly learn necessary skills to handle new assignments as and when required. Ability to make quick adjustments in focus and direction as required for the successful completion of a project. Ability to multitask testing activities on multiple projects or products. - Individual must have the drive to implement all of the above without daily guidance from the management group. The individual must have strong personal initiative and the will to drive the projects to completion. * * *3. **Team & People Skills* - Individual must have excellent communication/collaborations skills.
