Title: Web Engineer Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 1+ year contract Client: Direct client Job Overview: Responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of internet solutions. Define requirements for new applications and customization adhering to MasterCard standards, processes and best practices. Develop, customize, and test applications to integrate to MasterCard's specifications. Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical training to other team members. Major Accountabilities: *Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices and with a high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market . *Broad understanding of Internet Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required. *Demonstrate MasterCard Core Competencie Skills/ Abilities: *Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment. *Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation and demonstrate the ability to drive results. *Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills. *Ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities and work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team. Skill set required: * Broad understanding of Internet technology concepts, methodologies, and best practices including high level network, operating system, application, and security technologies. * Ability to quickly adapt to shifting changes in direction in technology and priority and act without 100% of the necessary information. * Ability to identify and promote innovative solutions to meet overall infrastructure requirements for applications. * Experience working with agile development teams is a plus. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to quickly build strong, trusting relationships across the organization. * High degree of initiative and self motivation and demonstrate the ability to drive results with the ability to ask for help when appropriate. * Ability to gain consensus across teams regarding technical approaches. * High energy, detail-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment. * Ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities as a member of a matrix based diverse project team.
