Position: Global Infrastructure Architect
Location: Brentwood, TN
Duration: 6-12 Months
**Green card and/or US Citizen- Global Infrastructure Architect. This
position is contract/contract to hire and is not going to be a position to
telecommute.
They should have designed and been able to duplicate the
infrastructure/network design in other countries. They are commoditizing
their business (supplies to the hospitals they own) and want to open up
other locations like Australia.

seeking a Senior Consultant/ Global Infrastructure Architect who will become
a key member of a growing Global Technology Services team.
The team is responsible for foundational technology and infrastructure for
our client’s network of offices in Nashville, Chicago, Bangalore, Shanghai,
and Birmingham, England. This is a “hands-on” technical position that will
work with a team of direct and indirect members to architect, design, and
implement solution hosting platforms, facilitate solution delivery, and
maintain operational solution viability. This position is responsible for
defining the technology infrastructure architecture for this global company
in areas where they have planned growth. Also prioritizes, initiates, and
directs technology evaluation efforts; provides consultation to technology
delivery projects; defines architectural best practices and methodologies;
and designs and implements architecture plans. It is expected that this
Senior Consultant will have the ability to share and clearly communicate
ideas both verbally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors,
technical resources, and customers.
Direct the evaluation and selection of enterprise technologies, architecture
tool sets and repositories.
Lead major components of IT Strategy and Planning initiatives.
Facilitate and lead architectural design and planning sessions with other
global IT teams
Comprehensively analyze the current technology environment to detect
critical deficiencies and recommend solutions.
Identify and define technology architecture methodology and deliverables
Provide leadership in developing an overall technical direction and vision
Lead the design, integration, and delivery of an integrated architecture
Will have responsibility for ensuring the operational viability of
the solution in collaboration with operations and support.
Assist and ensure the resolution of complex problems
Advise and consult on complex architecture issues
Provide leadership in technology practice areas
Drive the adoption of enterprise architecture principles, guidelines,
standards, processes and methodologies
Guide project teams on technical standards and guidelines, and ensure
existing solutions are reused and leveraged.
Design and direct governance activities associated with evolving the
enterprise architecture.
Direct ongoing evaluation of global emerging trends and technologies, and
critical vendor strategies and directions.
Select areas that warrant investment of Proof-of-Concept and/or R&D
efforts.
*Required skill sets:*
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent.
• 7+ years experience in large scale infrastructure architecture
development, design and deployment in a global distributed environment
• 7+ years experience with network architecture and web solutions
• Excellent team player with demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional
teams and reach consensus.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to
work collaboratively are essential.
*Optional skill sets: *
•Experience/Knowledge with SAN-attached devices and tools such as HDLM,
PowerPath, and Fast-T
•Experience/Knowledge with virtual technology, such as, VMWare ESX, VMWare
Workstation
•Experience/Knowledge with OS environment running one or more databases
including SQL, Oracle, MySQL
•Experience/Knowledge with managing Big-IP devices and LTM/GTM configuration
to include TCL iRules.
•Experience/Knowledge with Cisco Data Networking Technologies.
•Experience/Knowledge with Network Security.
•Experience/Knowledge with managing a multi-domain/multi-forest enterprise
active directory implementation.
•Experience/Knowledge with managing active directory group policies.
•Experience/Knowledge with managing identity federation and/or
single-sign-on (SSO) solutions.
•Experience/Knowledge with managing DNS, DHCP, and WINS infrastructure and
configuration.
• Solid understanding and experience with operating system concepts and
practical implementation of those fundamentals in a large-scale production
environment.
•Experience/Knowledge of desktop/personal computing technology in one or
more key areas include iPhone, iPad, Windows, Linux
•Experience/Knowledge of application development coding, debugging, testing
and delivery into a production environment are highly desirable.
•Experience/Knowledge of performance metrics and tools is highly desirable
