*Position*: Integration (Java) Developer

*Location*: Minneapolis,MN

*Duration*: 6 month contract



*Required Technical Skills:*

1.       Java (5+ years)

2.       Mule (or any other integration tool experience)

*Responsibilities:*

·      Excellent verbal and communication skills; outstanding interpersonal
skills and a strong team player

·      Act as a liaison between the client organization and Barometer’s
delivery and development teams

·      Consult with clients to develop an understanding of their legacy
systems and their relationships within the enterprise

·      Responsible for technical decisions and recommendations related to
integration efforts.

·      Ensure the integration solution is developed in a high quality and
testable manner

·      Utilize and enhance integration and programming standards

·      Utilize and enhance software change control processes

·      Ensure integration standards, guidelines and architecture are
understood and incorporated in the technical design and integration code
that is developed

·      Provide best practice insights to development team

*Experience:*

·      3 or more year’s consulting experience

·      Extensive domain expertise in application technologies including
legacy mainframe based applications

·      3+ years of overall information technology and software development
experience (technical architecture, custom application development, systems
integration)

·      3+ years of software development with specific leadership experience
managing development teams

·      3+ years experience with a variety of development languages and
standards, such as Java, JEE, SQL, XML, Web Services

·      3+ years server-side Java/JEE programming experience

·      3+ years Eclipse, IntelliJ and/or NetBeans IDE

·      3+ years JEE Application Servers (IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic, JBoss)

·      3+ years creating integration solutions

·      3+ year enterprise connectivity (ERPs, mainframes, messaging
middleware, etc.)

·      3+ years experience with JMS and messaging

·      3+ years accessing relational databases using JDBC

·      1+ years with UNIX/LINUX experience

·      3+ years proven application development experience

·      Strong database and SQL knowledge (MySQL, Oracle, DB2, SQLServer)

·      Strong relational database design experience (ERD – logical and
physical)

·      Solid knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure (topologies, IP
load balancers, routers, gateways, TCP/IP, firewalls, DNS services)

·      Solid understanding of security technologies and concepts
(WS-Security, Encryption, SSL, Digital Certificates, LDAP, SSO)

·      Solid web infrastructure/architecture knowledge (reverse proxy,
fail-over, session state persistence, load-balancing)

·      Excellent communication skills (effective oral and written skills)

·      Experience with applying the core software design patterns and best
practices (OO/Gang-of-Four, JEE Blueprint, Architecture, Enterprise
Integration)

*Skills:*

·      Experience in a continuous integration environment

·      Experience with the application of common Design Patterns

·      Preferred technology experience
