Position: 17686 - West Region Human Resources Business Partner II
Location: Concord, CA
Contract: 4+ Months


Job Description:

Focused on driving business success, the HR Business Partner provides
tactical support to HR leadership and assigned client group to ensure the
company achieves its business objectives. This includes implementation of
the HR agenda/strategy to support the assigned client group's organization,
and the flawless execution of HR processes and tools to successfully meet
quality objectives and strict deadlines. The HR Business Partner is a client
"relationship manager" and is responsible for monitoring client satisfaction
on a regular basis.

* Responsible for building employee engagement through executing our company
Best Place to Work framework emphasizing our culture, values, and the
benefits of workforce Diversity.
* Provides feed-back to HR Leaders, Specialist and peer groups on
implementation and utilization of tools to ensure flawless execution.
Responsible for representing the client's needs and providing client
feedback to the Specialist teams.
* Responsible for ensuring that performance issues are addressed in timely
and appropriate fashion. Responsible for ensuring that individual
performance assessments are calibrated with department and business results.
* Responsible for minimizing business risk and enhancing the company culture
by ensuring that all management are trained in all required legal subject
areas -- Compliance, Code of Conduct, Diversity & Sexual Harassment,
Interviewing and selection skills, employment law.
* Advises and coaches managers / employees to effectively address client
organizational and employee relations issues. Seeks opportunities and
suggest ways to improve efficiencies and productivity.
* Ensures all employees are oriented effectively, understand our company's
culture and business and have reviewed the employee handbook. Makes
effective use of the Orientation Program for all new employees. Ensures that
employees understand all relevant employee programs.
* Ensures effective communications throughout the client group on business
progress and developments, organizational changes, and relevant industry
developments.
* Works with Specialist groups in ensuring all government requirements
(Federal, State and local), filings, postings, and laws are satisfied for
the business unit.
* Work with HR Leaders, Specialists and the client group to implement a
Diversity Plan for the client.
* Assists client management with the implementation and communication of any
new total rewards or other human resource management programs.


Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:
Functional & Technical Job Requirements:

- 2+ years HR or other related job experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or
related field strongly preferred.
- PHR certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
- Technical HR Competence: Knowledge of each key component of the Human
Resources organization. Must have basic understanding on HR concepts,
policies and procedures and administration procedures.
- MS Suite: Intermediate level skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and
PowerPoint and the ability to learn additional programs as needed.
- Presentation Skills: Solid presentation skills needed. Proven record in
effectively delivering and facilitating training modules a plus.
