Job Title: Sr. System Engineer Location: San Francisco, CA Duration: 3+ Months *Please note that the candidate should have all the mentioned requirements.* We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer in San Francisco, CA. Candidate will be responsible for system builds, implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for the company's Windows and Unix platforms. The position will report to the Apps Team Lead. We are seeking a self-starter and a fast learner. *Required Experience:* *5+ years experience as a systems engineer or equivalent technical position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. *Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2008/2005/2003, Linux and other Unix based systems. *Knowledge of security methods and procedures, performance tuning and emerging technologies. *Clustering, monitoring and load balancing technologies. *Identification of performance problems and implementation of solutions to correct performance problems. * Experience Conducting tests to newly installed/upgraded software. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills. *Skill in isolating and resolving complex problems and utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools. *Responsibilities:* *Deploy and support of highly available and secure Windows and Linux server farms and associated applications. *Monitoring and performance tuning of above servers and applications. *Provides expert assistance and knowledge to the management and diagnostics of proprietary software systems. *Operates as a member of the Windows and Linux server team, with both an operational and project. *Focus on ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of platforms to all environments. *Develop technical documentation, internal standards and reports as requested by management. *Performs other related duties as assigned. *Education:* *Undergraduate, or higher, degree in a related field or equivalent work experience *MCSE a plus --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Please includes the following information when submitting candidates.
