Job Title : Java/J2EE Developer/Performance Analyst Relevant Experience (Yrs) : 4+ years of experience Technical/Functional Skills : - Having good hands on experience in the Java/J2EE technologies. - Having knowledge of oracle technologies Oracle 10g and PL/SQL (Understanding of Query plans, AWR Reports etc.) - Having understanding of performance testing (like CPU Utilizations, Response time, network latency, think time etc.) and analysis (like Heap dumps analysis, memory leaks analysis, caching strategies) - Some experience of application deployment using deployment scripts (Understanding of ANT scripts). - Understanding of Basic Unix commands and shell scripting. - Good designing/architectural skills and ability to prepare good design documents based on the understanding of technical requirements. - Understanding of any version management tool like SVN, VSS etc. - Having good communication skills required for customer interaction. Experience Required : At least 4 years of experience Roles & Responsibilities : 1. Performance testing tool development/enhancement (in Java/J2EE) after getting an understanding of the requirements/application changes. 2. Performance analysis and find out the cause of any performance degradation (like doing the analysis of application logs, wrong implementation of caching or wrong query plans being picked etc.) 3. Requesting for branches and tags from the Configuration Management team. 4. Preparation of good design documents/analysis documents based on the understanding of technical requirements/issue. 5. Following up with the application development team for any clarification on application functionality and understanding it's performance impact. 6. Running data base queries and collecting results required for the analysis. 7. Analysis and review of unix scripts and understanding of any modifications required. 8. Review of design documents and code done from Offshore. Generic Managerial Skills : Good analytical skills, interpersonal skills and Communication skills.
