* Role: SQL Server DBA Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 12 months Job Description: Expert Skills in: *• Administration of MS SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 200 • Database/schema design • SQL (DML and DDL) and Transact SQL. • Writing T-SQL Stored Procedures, Functions, and Packages via best practices, standards, and code-optimization techniques • Create triggers • Altering databases/schemas, inc. creating/altering tables, constraints, indexes, grants, and sequences. Write DDL and DML via command line and GUI tools • Change control • Coordinating and implementation of database/schema changes to various environments (Dev, Test, Training, QA, and Prod)* Professional experience: *• Minimum of 7 (seven) years of recent experience in MS SQL Server Database Administration • MS Cluster Services • Database monitoring tools (Idera, Big Brother/Hobbit/Xymon) • Loading legacy data from mainframe systems (via DTS, SSIS, BCP, and/or scripting technologies (VBScript, JavaScript)) • Stress-testing, locating bottlenecks, and recommending solutions • SQL Profiler, Query Analyzer and Management Studio • Performance tuning T-SQL Stored Procedures and SQL statements • Data modeling tools • Windows 2000, 2003, and 2008, inc. WMI and scripting • SAN environments, Oracle, PL/SQL.MySQL 5.x.
