Needed: Sr. AS/400 (iSeries) Engineer
My client is looking for a Sr. AS/400 (iSeries) Engineer for a contract
based in Dallas, TX.
Required skills:
At least 5+ years of iSeries experience with a focus on system performance
and application optimization.
Experience with running and monitoring batch jobs.
Experience with gathering and documenting requirements.
Fundamental understanding of performance testing methodologies, processes
and general procedures.
Ability to analyze and document problems and defects, reporting defects and
track defect status.
Ability to analyze test results and make valid conclusions; work with
project teams to resolve performance issues.
Responsible for communicating project status, resolving project issues, and
ensuring effective process improvement feedback.
Nice to have skills (not required):
Performance monitoring skills on other platforms (SQL Server, Tomcat,
Apache…).
Java and / or .NET application knowledge with a focus on application
performance.
WAS experience on the iSeries.
Experience with performance tuning of iSeries programs, processes.
Experience with Mercury Quality Center.
Proficient in SQL.
