A huge and complex Oracle database, which is currently in 8i, needs to
be migrated to a different data centre. Along with that, it needs to be
version upgraded to 10g (maybe 11g also). Since both these would have to
happen at the same time, it adds to the complexity. Challenge would be that
the migration would not impact any BAU (Business as usual) works for other
projects running for the teams here, who uses that database. There has to be
minimal downtime, and lot of co-ordination would be required with other
stakeholders. Technology required is good Unix shell scripting knowledge,
along with good PL/SQL programming experience.
