5+ years hands on Java development experience, knowledge of OO development,
java design patterns, JEE design patterns, Oracle Database, SQL, web
service development including WSDL, XSD, and java web service stack, web
application server application development experience (tomcat, etc)

*Extensive Technical Skills required (Must)*
Java 6, WSDL, XSD, Oracle SQL, JDBC, Concurrency (threading), Tomcat (or
similar web application server), Servlets, JSP, Unix/Linux command line,
shell scripting, Ant, Junit, eclipse, continuous integration

*OS Platform: *Windows/Unix(Solaris)/Linux/Solaris
* *
*Additional Technical Skills (Preferred)*
JMS (ActiveMQ / BEA) , Apache Camel, Oracle experience with high volume OLTP
(database), Oracle Stored Procedures/Functions, Javascript/HTML, Thinkmap,
Terracotta, Perl, BMC Remedy API knowledge
*Domain/Functional Skills Preferred*: Service Assurance, ticket management
systems

*Applications to be supported *: SAMS
*Roles & Responsibilities: *
ü Develops enhancements and new functionality for the SAMS application.
ü The individual will be provided high level requirements and must be able
to identify and decompose additional requirements as needed.
ü Able to use the required Java tools and develop in the SAMS development
environment.
ü Develop software in accordance with the SAMS team processes and
procedures, including the development and testing activities.
ü Adhere to coding standards and development guidelines.
ü Be able to work independently to develop designs and implement solutions.
ü Participate in design reviews and code reviews as required.
ü Produce designs and code that adhere to OO design patterns and
principles.
ü Produce unit tests and correct build issues related to unit test
failures.
ü Adhere to development timeframes for iterative development activities
*Generic Soft/Managerial Skills Needed*: Good verbal and written
communications skills, team oriented individual, able to work in a complex
environment with multiple activities
