*Role: Build and deployment engineer***

*Location: San Francisco, CA / Charlotte, NC*

*Duration: 6 months*



Minimum Qualification



- Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or other equivalent technical
discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Build and Release Engineering, including
experience working in Integration and/or Platform Engineering.
- 6+ years of software configuration management with Build and Release
Engineering experience, with supporting J2EE Build experience using any
version control software (preferably ClearCase and/or UCM) including
experience with project concurrency and complex version-control branching
models.
- 5+ years experience in building, deploying and integrating Java-based web
applications in a UNIX Environment is required, including exposure to J2EE
architecture (especially BEA Web Logic and/or Tomcat), working as Build
Leads with hands-on experience on Ant or Maven (preferably Maven2), in a
commercial setting.
- 3+ years of experience in BEA Web Logic, Tom Cat/TC or Web Sphere
Administration, Configuration and J2EE development or deployments, with
knowledge in clustering, JMS, Connection Pools, J2EE Deployments, Core and
Thread Dump Analysis.
- Excellent working knowledge in UNIX (preferably Solaris), and strong
working experience in Shell and/or Perl scripting is required.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot in a 3 tier J2EE application
environment on UNIX.
- Willingness to mentor, have strong analytical, technical documentation,
and excellent business communication skills are required.
- Must demonstrate solid understanding of SDLC and change control processes,
and experience as a team lead, leading a Software Release from SIT to
Production.



Preferred Skills



- Experience in web-services integration using AXIS or XML Beans
- Working experience with SUN N1SPS is a big plus
- Experience with Sun One Web Server or Apache/Spring Tomcat
- Experience with Big-IP F5 and load-balancing
