We have a requirement for an *Informatica ETL Developer* (*with heavy teradata experience*) for a 3 month + project in Central PA. The start date for the project is mid September time frame. *DBA experience would be useful* as well as experience with *Teradata, DB2, and DataStage*. Major tasks and responsibilities are as follows: Develop extract, transform and load programs that move data from a *DB2 data warehouse* on *AIX* to a *Teradata data warehouse* Configuration, tune and implement Informatica for integration with applications, web services, and/or data transport utilities. *Additional responsibilities include:* · Designs, develops, and tests the scripts required to extract, transform, clean, and move data and metadata so it can be loaded into a *data warehouse*, *data mart, or operational data store*. · Imports and merges data from required *data sources* and applications. · Prepares documentation for all *developed procedures*. · Works with business area product line analyst to identify and understand source systems. · Implements business rules based on business specifications and in alignment with established application architectures. · Maps source system data to data warehouse architecture. · Develops and tests *ETL processes*. · Performs data cleansing and validation functions. · Maintains performance and tuning of *ETL functions*. · Defines standards and captures metadata and rules associated with *ETL processes. * · Adapts *ETL processes* to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements. · Performs source data analysis and acquisition/Gap analysis. · Provides system design to ensure ease of administration, support, and scalability. · Designs, develops error-handling and processes recovery strategies. · Administers and supports data load processes (monitoring, data recovery).
