Assist in decomposing systems in order to understand the current state in relation to migrating it to a disparate environment. This may include decomposing physical, logical, and functional components depending on the system. 2. Assist in application dependency mapping first to identify all of the application’s immediate dependencies and then to also to identify what other applications are dependent on the applications’ dependencies. 3. Assist in documenting firewall rules required in future state environment 4. Providing an overview of a system to assist with creating the future state design. The overview will take into account Network Infrastructure, Server Platforms, Middleware, and Software. 5. Assist in documenting the future state of each system. 6. Create system artifacts in the form of Visio diagrams and Word documents. 7. Assist in resolving migration issues prior to and during the actual system migrations 8. Assisting the project manager with work breakdown, schedule, and risks associated with the system migrations. The current environment is primarily .NET (2005-2008), but has Classic ASP, Power Builder, and Oracle Forms. Applications are a mix of COTS, In House, and Customized. The primary database platform is Oracle on a Windows server. *Required Skills:* 7 yrs of IT experience 2 yrs current experience functioning in a Systems Application Architect capacity 1 yr current experience decomposing systems in a .net environment. 1 yr current experience migrating .net applications. 1 yr current experience in identifying firewall rules and configuration items required for migration in a .net environment. Work experience / knowledge of MS Visio ans MS Word.
