*Duration: 6+month Contract * *Location: Minneapolis, MN.* * * *Job Description: * This function works in the analysis phase of the system development cycle and consults with users to evaluate business requirements, identify operating procedures, evaluate existing or proposed systems and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. This function also is intended to include those that also may define business processes. *Primary Responsibilities: * • Acts as the liaison between business and IT within UnitedHealth Group and leads requirements gathering, service-oriented modeling, and analysis and design activities. • Evaluates business requirements and prepares detailed specifications that follow project guidelines required to develop written programs. Elicits application requirements from stakeholders in JAD sessions and models requirements in various design diagrams. • Analyzes and revises existing functional documentation. Formulates, defines and documents the functional system specifications using the systems analysis function and various tools. • Devises or modifies procedures that solve complex business problems with due consideration for hardware/software capacity and limitations, operating times and the desired results. • Anticipates and addresses emerging customer needs, while effectively managing business challenges and providing appropriate solutions. Interprets customer tasks into re-usable system activities. • Develops strategies to improve service development life cycle and governance processes. Presents and evaluates design solutions objectively and facilitates conflict resolution. • Works on multiple complex projects simultaneously bringing them to successful completion in a reasonable timeframe. Professionally manages project commitments, consistently delivering on time. • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Speaks clearly and expresses self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations. • Excellent technical writing skills.
