*Relevant Experience (Yrs) *Minimum of two years experience creating SQL
queries plus Oracle database management or system administration experience;
proficiency with standard computer applications (Windows, Microsoft Office,
Internet Explorer, etc.) is required
*Technical/Functional Skills *Must have:
o Expertise in SQL (writing queries)
o Oracle database management experience (updating records, managing users
and permissions)
o Experience in system administration (adding users, performing updates,
trouble-shooting)
• Would offer clear advantage:
o Life sciences background (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, etc.)
o HTML expertise
o Experience with any of the following applications:
Pipeline Pilot
Spotfire
Isentris
o Experience extending functionality of commercial applications
Education requirements: minimum of Associates degree in computer or life
sciences related disciplines; certifications in SQL, PLSQL, or other Oracle
related areas would be an advantage.

*Roles & Responsibilities * Job Responsibilities and Key Deliverables:
• Administration of VISTA database, manage users, update data and make
corrections as needed, troubleshoot issues
• SQL query building – as requested by users; work on re-writing old queries
to be compatible with new data structure
• Administration of Spotfire application and server, manage users, extend
functionality through database links, troubleshoot issues, manage libraries
and permissions
• Assist with Isentris development, create SQL views and procedures, manage
database linkages
*Generic Managerial Skills *• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player and collaborate with end users and other
system administrators.
• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize tasks, and complete assigned
projects with minimal supervision
*Education *Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience is
preferred.
