Doc Sciences – Member Centric Messaging (MCM)
Authoring/Designer Job Description
A MCM Xpression template author/designer is expected to perform the
following tasks -
1. Requirement gathering and frequent discussion w/ Business Analysts
(On-demand)
2. Design the template mockups (On-demand)
3. If template is being migrated from CCS then AS-IS analysis of the
template in CCS (On-demand)
4. Define template schema w/ variables and upload the same to
Xpression server (On-demand)
5. Author templates and sections using xDesign v3.0SP1 (Daily)
6. Define rules to fetch customer and/or employee data, validate data,
format data (Daily)
7. Define metadata for templates, variables, groups, sections,
enclosures and delivery channels (On-demand)
8. Unit Test the template with Mock Data (Daily)
9. Migrate templates and metadata to TEST (On-demand)
10. Work w/ Xpression IT Administrator to map output variables, apply
content stamp, and define access rights (On-demand)
11. Upload template thumbnail to WCM server (Release)
12. Migrate templates and metadata to PROD (Release)
