Here's the Job Description Position: Sr. Oracle Architect
Location: Alpharetta, GA 7 years of experience in Enterprise Application development with Oracle database as the backend. In-depth understanding of relational database concepts and database theory, analysis and design; development of requirements. Expert knowledge with PL/SQL including Stored Procedures, Functions, and Triggers. Solid knowledge of Oracle/Unix development environment using a standard interface tool such as Toad or SQL*Plus. Strong background working with large data sets. Strong Experience with the Oracle Optimizer plans and hints. Extensive experience in Performance Tuning of SQL queries & Views using Explain Plan, SQL Trace & TKPROF utilities Strong background working with large data sets. Design, develop, test and maintain Oracle objects such as database packages, stored procedures and functions Analyze and provide solutions to QA and Production issues. Ensure proper functioning of applications in production environment. Develop complex SQL scripts for reports using PL/SQL Writing technical and application specification and design documents, unit test plans and other project communications. Developing data and object models for associated functional and technical areas. Defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems. Work under general or minimal supervision. May mentor developers Willingness to learn, and ability to self-teach in areas if necessary Understanding and experience of administering database objects in development environment. Excellent multi-tasking and verbal and written communication skills. Oracle Certification is a plus. Oracle forms/reports/Portal experience is a plus.
