Reaponsibilities:
- Upgrade of Middleware software and web
applications - WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, Webmethod in Linux and Solaris
platform.
- Identify and analyze existing infrastructure (OS,
Hardware, Software) and middleware application code components.
- Undertake Due Diligence With Infrastructure and
middleware code dependencies
- Identify application code changes and deployment/
configuration related Changes, deployment script changes, property file
change etc.
- Establish major upgrade steps and code upgrade
tools
- Finalize methodology for migrating from existing
environment to new environment.
- Support development teams and operations to
upgrade the existing middleware applications to new versions of Apache,
Tomcat, web methods,*
* and WebLogic.
- Finalize Middleware Engineering strategy,
standard and best practices
- Build & Deployment Plan
- Provide Engineering Solutions and automated
tooling
- Finalize Security strategy and requirements
- Fulfill Knowledge gap
- Infrastructure strategy and Procurement
- Establish Release management and version control
- Establish process and ways to provision new
environments
