If yes, please send me your latest resume as per the requirement ASAP. *Reply to: [email protected]* *Title:MS SQL Server DBA/Developer* *Location: Irving, TX* *Length: 10 months* *Interview: Phone* Primary Responsibilities: • Function as first point of contact for production MS SQL related issues. • Participate in the support and implementation of applications using MS SQL backend. • Move database changes from development to production. • Ensure proper configuration and security on all database servers. • Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all database servers. • Verify database backups • Responsible for keeping management up to date on any outstanding database related issues. • Participate in On Call rotation and provide after hours support as needed. • Perform other production support activities as required including but not limited to: o Hardware and infrastructure o Third party application support o Domain administration Required Skills: • In-depth knowledge of MS SQL 2005 and 2008 including: o DTS package creation o Job scheduling o Creating and troubleshooting Stored Procedures. o Database replication o Ability to install and manage multiple SQL instances in a clustered environment. • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008 and Active Directory • In-depth knowledge of HP and Dell hardware • In-depth experience with Microsoft Clustering • Experience managing large databases and large number of databases 50+ • In-depth experience with MS SQL Server Management Studio • Experience managing, collecting and reporting on statistical data; • Experience with software development in some of the following languages: XML, VB.Net, VBScript, ASP, C# and Java Script; • Experience with stored procedures, functions, triggers, replication, data flow diagrams and data sources; • Experience deploying and managing heavy transactional and merge replication; • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to work with developers and end users in a professional manner to resolve business critical problems in a high stress environment.
