Please send me matching profiles along with expected hourly rate and contact information *Sr. QA Tester-RFT Start: ASAP Location: Minneapolis, MN Duration: 4-5 months Notes: Candidates who have RFT experience-Rational Function testing experience are key to this position. Description of Work: *HSPHD ITRM (QA team) has 200+ manual test scripts that need be "run" to validate and verify the ECF Java & FileNet code base for each release. This SOW allows the Consultant to commence with automating all or a portion of these ECF Regression and Production test scripts with Rational Functional Tester (RFT) to run in RQM or code stored in RTC. The overall objective of this SOW is for the Consultant to provide automation of ECF test scripts to speed up future test efforts. * *To be fully effective, test script automation requires a comprehensive planning effort, coding and process development that includes platform and change support. The use of RFT brings benefits including repeatability, ease of maintenance, the ability to efficiently use resources in off-peak hours and the capability to create reports based on the executed tests. Automated test scripts save a considerable amount of time currently spent in manual regression testing. * One position of a Consultant is required to work with an existing QA team to ensure successful delivery and completion of this project. List of Deliverables: · *Provide an automation assessment and recommendations to the project team within the first 2 weeks. · Lead the design, development, implementation, and support efforts to an automated test environment. · Provide test strategy for the ECF automation framework. · Ensure full test coverage of the requirements matrix by providing a map of business requirements to automated test cases for review and acceptance. · Develop automated RFT tests to replace 200 – 300 manual scripts that can be executed in all ECF test environments (QA, Staging and Training). This requires an average rate of 50+ per month following the initial planning period. · Produce 25+ automated RFT tests script that can be executed for smoke testing in ECF production environment. · Design and develop an ECF test bed that is reloaded to all ECF test environments (QA and Staging). · Determine how the RFT process integrates with RQM in the creation of test execution records and defects. · Produce design and development of reports from the test execution results. · Provide knowledge transfer to QA team members. · Produce supporting documentation for QA team members. The scripts created are well documented so that less experienced testers are able to learn and maintain the scripts. · Provide weekly status reports to the team lead. · Industry standard best practices are applied throughout all aspects of the work outlined in this SOW.* Impact/Outcome: *The outcome of this project decreases substantially the current two week effort to manually regression test ECF. This automation effort enables comprehensive test coverage and promotes use of a standard test data set. The services areas within HSPHD benefit by receiving timelier and higher quality ECF releases. * Additional Comments (optional): *Required Skills: Requires 2+ years knowledge and experience automating test scripts with Rational Functional Tester (RFT), and Rational Performance Tester (RPT), Rational Quality Manager (RQM) and Rational Team Concert (RTC) and Java Scripting language creating testing scripts in RFT and RPT tools.
