Location: Madison, WI Pay Rate: $80/hr c2c all in Length: 12 months *Key Skills:* Java Architect, Mobile, J2EE Arch, Spring, MQ, JMS DESCRIPTION: Our client is looking to hire for a Strong Solution Architect/Java Architect for Mobile Applications development for applications/workflows used by our Agency Field (Sales) Force. This position requires an experienced architect with a minimum of 5 years in distributed, web-based Enterprise Java architecture and experience designing and/or developing mobile applications. Experience with both Rich Mobile Applications (Native OS) and Mobile Web Applications (browser-based). Candidates must have a strong understanding of open systems architecture including integrations with relational databases, message queues, web services and legacy systems. This role primarily interprets architecture and requirements documents through building designs in UML. The individual will work with the development team to ensure the design and architecture are realized in the code. The only coding will be to prototype a design. Typical design decisions are how to use design frameworks and tools (i.e. Spring, STRUTS, Hibernate, Ajax) to realize the architecture and requirements. We also specifically evaluate new open source frameworks and tools regularly. We are looking for true architecture experience, i.e. not lead developer/tech lead experience.
