They are currently running JD Edwards version 5, release 1 in a DB2 AS/400 environment. Their current JD Edwards Platform is basically maxed out in terms of memory and channel speeds, however they can't upgrade the system due to licensing issues so the plan is to keep the system alive and up and running for another 2 years. At the end of that time frame the client will be migrating its JD Edwards system to Oracle EBS, starting with Financials and Manufacturing to follow. There is a laundry list of issues that are happening weekly with the system, some more important than others in terms of functionality, that need to be addressed in order to keep the system running for the next 2 years. There are 2 full time JD Edwards Developers who have been working on this specific system, which is highly customized, for the past 13 years so there will be plenty of in house knowledge in terms of being able to navigate through the system. *Job Responsibilities:* The client is seeking a well seasoned JD Edwards Developer who has experience working on version 5, release 1 (does not have to be recent). They also have to have experience working in a DB2 AS/400 environment. This person will work hand in hand with the clients full time developers to tackle the laundry list of issues that are happening in order to keep the system live. The client used to have 2 MRP systems and as of August 2011 they moved 1 of the systems into JD Edwards creating an almost 60% upswing in system activity. There will be numerous different requests that will need to be made through the duration of the project like Reporting changes, business request changes, reporting issues and any other inconsistencies that come up and need attention. An example of one issue the client is having is when a transaction file is created in Inventory it needs to be associated with certain things within Inventory and is supposed to post to the General Ledger. What’s happening is majority of the time the correct Inventory transactions will be there but it won't post to the GL. So the client needs someone who can come in work with the developers to assess what needs to be fixed and in what order so they can keep the system functioning. *Skills:* -Must have very strong JD Edwards Development skills -Exp working in a DB2 AS/400 environment -Exp with system assessments -Exp w/ JD Edwards version 5, release 1 Dev Technical Recruiter Osair Technologies LLC, 36 York Road, West windsor,NJ | 08550 Voice : 630-566-7324 | Fax :732-289-6076 [email protected] | www.osairtech.com Yahoo IM: dev.osair | Gtalk: [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
