Position will work with existing NetJets software architecture staff on a
series of Java EE modernization efforts. The goal of the effort is to move
existing J2EE 1.4 applications to Java EE 5, including moving from
Hibernate and entity-bean based persistence to Java Persistence API (JPA).
Participate in all facets of the project including prototype development,
performance/load testing, technology evaluation and selection and
documentation.
*Key Skills/Attributes*
- Strong *Java EE Development Skills *including hands-on experience with
*EJB 2.1 - 3.1. *
- Hands on experience with *JPA 2 (Java Persistence API) and Hibernate 3.
*
- Experience with *Oracle and SQL. *
- *Hands on experience with WebSphere (6.1, 7.0). *
- Prior experience conducting a technology evaluation/selection.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in technology leadership/architecture. Comfortable working
on coding and non-coding (e.g. documentation) tasks.
