Please reply to [email protected] only *Position: Solaris Administrator – L3 ( UNIX track)* * * *Work Location: New York* * * *Duration: Long Term* * * *UNIX Systems Administrator* * * *Skills and Knowledge:* · In-depth knowledge of Sun Solaris 10 Operating System including but not limited to Solaris Volume Management, ZFS, Solaris Zones, Solaris Logical Domains, and the Solaris Service Manager. · Knowledge and prior experience in installing, configuring and using Symantec NetBackup. · Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and advanced UNIX commands. · In-depth knowledge of Sun Sparc hardware configuration and installation. · Strong experience with Disk Array Systems o RAID Levels o Volume management including data replication and snapshots o Fiber networks including fiber switches o SCSI o Tape libraries · PERL and Shell programming expertise. · Network experience o IP configuration o DNS including BIND configuration and administration o Network switching and routing o Network security including a understanding firewall policies. · In-depth knowledge of web technologies and software o Apache Web Server o Apache Tomcat and/or Oracle Glassfish Application Server o Tomcat connectors including mod_jk o Single-Sign-On and Federation including Oracle OpenSSO o Portal software installation, configuration and administration o FTP servers o Java applications · Understanding of messaging (E-Mail) architecture and administration o DNS MX record administration o SMTP/IMAP/POP3 services o Sendmail installation, configuration and administration o Anti-spam server configuration and administration. · Experience with Sun Java Communications Suite including Messaging Server, Calendar Server, Instant Messaging Server and Convergence is a plus · Understanding of LDAP directory server configuration and administration.
