Job Title: Release Engineer Location: Austin, TX Duration: 6+ Months * * *Required Skills: * Release Engineer, Java, Groovy, Script, Maven, Ant, Linux *Primary Responsibilities:* Designs, develops, writes, tests and implements software for the build automation system Proposes and implements process improvements to the build and deployment system Anticipates, identifies, analyzes, prioritizes, mitigates and communicates risks related to the build and deployment system Aids in maintaining the overall stability of the build and deployment system Works with developers, QA, project managers, and other personnel involved in the development of products as required Writes clear, maintainable, portable code Accurately estimates his/her schedules and delivers high quality work products to that schedule Maintain documentation and promote a culture of automation *Requirements:* Demonstrated work in build and deployment processes performance load testing large commercial applications and web services Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (bash, perl, python etc) Proficiency in Java, Groovy Strong expertise in Maven, Ant Must be comfortable in Linux environments Familiarity with code branching and version control Familiarity with continuous integration process Excellent attention to detail Experience with deployments across large clusters and multiple development environments Highly motivated self-starter, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal supervision Degree in Computer Science or related subject. *Desirable:* Knowledge of REST-based API integration paradigms Experience in the eCommerce, online payment processing, or financial services domain Experience with Agile methodologies Experience with Perforce and Hudson/Jenkins Experience with Unix/Linux and other open source technologies and platforms Interest in video games and online social networks Preferred if consultant has earlier worked with SAEARETX --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Please includes the following information when submitting candidates.
