*Client Server Security Engineer*
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Duration: 5 Months with possible extensions
Under limited supervision, the security specialist is responsible for
development, enhancement, and implementation, of security systems.
The person in this position performs highly advanced technical support for
the client's information security program. Under the direction of the Chief
Information Security Office this position will carry out the following:
- Assist with the planning, designing, implementation and maintenance of
security systems.
- Be responsible for the day to day support and upkeep of the
department’s security applications on an as needed basis.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of these
systems is maintained.
- Assist with the design and maintenance of the client's firewalls.
- Consult with development teams and provide recommendations to maintain
a secure computing environment to the Security Office.
- Work with the CISO on disaster recovery initiatives ensuring the
security and integrity of data, data systems, and data networks across the
entire department is maintained. This includes designing and implementing
disaster recovery processes and business continuity procedures for
re-establishing servers, databases, and operating systems in the event of a
disruption, both minor and catastrophic.
- Perform and analyze disaster simulations for the prompt restoration of
services, and conduct security assessments.
*Required Skills:*
- Lead role as an enterprise IT security specialist (1 Year)
- Hands-on experience with Checkpoint firewalls (3 Years)
- In-depth knowledge of PC operations, and PC encryption (5 Years)
- Hands-on experience in developing DR plans (5 Years)
- Network and Information Security (4 Years)
- Strong knowledge PC connectivity products and PC hardware connectivity
(5 Years)
*Other Desirable Skills:*
- Perform security assessments (2 Years)
- Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Visio)
- Experience developing/presenting recommendations to senior management
