Job Title: QA Analyst – Product Verification Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL

Rate: $40/hr (C2C)

Duration: 3+ Months (May Extent later)

Desired Start Date: 2/6/2012

Skills Required:

7+ Years of experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related

Testing background and expertise with test tools (TSO, File-Aid,
capture/playback, Mercury Interactive) TS software knowledge helpful.
Work toward certifications including: CSQE or CSQA preferred
professional test tool certification (Mercury, Rational, and
Compuware).

Desired candidate should possess the below given skills:

1) Ability to work / manage others with minimal direction from his
supervisor
2) Ability to review the work of others and to provide feedback
3) Ability to run reports and to work with staff to work out/point out
anomalies
4) Ability to manage and facilitate Plan calls
5) Ability to give guidance and input to recommend process
improvements
6) Ability to provide input to the PV Handbook
7) Ability to create test cases, execute test cases and create a test
plan
8) A strong communicator
9) Ability to create (and also troubleshoot any issues with) PV Wide
status reports
10) Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment with
changing priorities
11) Ability to communicate effectively with people across all facets
of IT as well as Business customers
12) Someone who can be involved in details, but also take a step back
and see the “big picture”
13) Experience in defect analysis, trends, etc.


Job Description:

Serve as the testing Point of Contact for the areas/project assigned,
researching customer issues related to software functionality. Test
and investigate issues to determine the appropriate resolution.
Provide educational information to customer issues if the problem is
issue related. Work with the Program Management Organization to create
education documentation. Track issues to assist in trend analysis and
the updating of the user guides and/or standard operating procedures.
Serve as a coach and mentor to the department staff regarding how to
develop and execute a test plan. Serve as a process improvement leader
for the QA department. Responsible for identifying areas for
improvements, implementing process improvements and ensuring long term
compliance. Act as the lead in managing QA participation in sunset
reviews. Set policies, standards and procedures for cross-teams system
development life cycle, workflow and the interfaces with Product
Verification.
