*Sr. Java developer / architect*
Duration: 6 months for both positions
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
1) Sr. Java developer / architect – MUST have at least 1-2 years
working with Hibernate persistence technology
· We are taking one of our applications (data warehouse) that is
today Oracle only and making it database-agnostic so that it can be
deployed on either Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2. We have to rewrite a lot of
Oracle specific code (PL/SQL code as well as use of low-level Oracle
functions and packages) to accomplish this. Our design will be that Oracle
specific PL/SQL will be replaced by a combination of middle-tier
persistence code as well as Java objects for the business logic. We are
considering Hibernate as the persistence technology but are also looking at
iBatis (now called MyBatis). We also plan on utilizing the Spring
framework.
· So in addition to having working knowledge of these technologies
candidates would have ideally been involved with this type of DB-agnostic
development
